Whoa, a 10 amp charger is too big to charge the battery in the bike, you will have an acid based mist boiling out the drain tube plus may even blow some caps out and spray it inside the battery box. 2 amps will quickly overheat a MC battery even on the bench.
Now to access the reminals, it may be possible w/o moving the seat, I'm trying to remember how the screws sit on the batery posts. My recollection was from the top, in which case I think the seat has to be removed for access. Seat is easy to get off with a 10mm socket and 4" or longer extension. 1 6mm bolt holds the seat bracket to the frame and the pair together bolt the bracket to the seat. Only the single bolt has to be removed on each side and the back of the seat will lift up and you can then pull it back out of the front clip rearwards. from that point the other directions you got above and mine will let you access the battery terminals. Ask the person who owned the bike before you where is the owners manual and any extra keys. It should come with the bike, They are available from a dealer but the factory or Clymer manual will cover most everything in there. Max
